Co-Curricular

FramExtra is our regular enrichment programme of co-curricular activities. There are lots of activities going on before, during, and after the school day, ranging from FramulaE racing car to netball to Creative Writing.  We work in partnership with some local providers to increase our offer for example The Garage offer Drama lessons, Boxing via ProSport is offered on a Tuesday and we run at least one Learn to Fix course with Little Riders bike mechanics each year.  To find out more about what is usually on offer, please see the documents below.  ParentMails with unique opportunities will be shared throughout the year.

During 2022-23 we are launching our FramAward via the Helper Helper app to allow students to log activities and be recognised for their hours of service.

Activities Week:  for one week every July, lessons at Fram are put on hold across all Year Groups for our annual Activities Week. During this highlight of the school calendar, students in Years 7, 8 and 9 have the opportunity to participate in a plethora of unique hands-on activities in place of the curriculum. Some students will devote their time to learning a new skill, such as kayaking or surfing, whilst others might focus on a particular activity, subject or topic, like sport or art. Some Activities Week programmes take place here at Fram, whilst others involve visits out of School. Some even involve a residential aspect; the Performing Arts trip spends time in London. From bookworms to cycling to horse week, there's something for everyone during Activities Week.

Events have a range of prices and support is on offer for those families in receipt of Pupil Premium to ensure children are able to engage in activities.  Mrs Harvey can be contacted at the school to discuss financial support.

During this week Year 10 are on Work Experience at local businesses and companies.

This year, Work Experience and Activities Week will take place between 8th - 12th July 2024.  Here's the brochure:
